No mum I wasn't involved in a shooting, this is fashion now!
Kanye steps out of the Dorchester, London in the new Yeezy season 1 distressed sweater, his favourite grey jeans and some apparently new Saint Laurent boots. Wearing his own product in as many public situations as possible these days, we see a newer, more refreshed, more human Ye. The day after his new Zane Lowe Radio 1 interview was released, Kanye appeared calm: as he stays in London to appear on a few chat shows culminating with the Jonathan Ross show on Saturday night, in which the most unlikely group of guests was assembled (Thierry Henry, Tracey Emin, Sigourney Weaver, and Martin Clunes).  I read numerous reports (mostly while trying to find photos of this outfit (my life sucks)) that he went back to old Ye, refusing to talk to guests, laying on the floor after his performance then walking out without talking to the host, Jonathan Ross. After watching the show, it appeared to be all lies. He was all smiles and joked with Ross after the Only One performance, featuring some awesome visuals, without anything of the sorts the shit-stiring articles had posted previous to his performance. Yawn.

Yeezy Season 1 Sweater - $UNKNOWN

The jumper appears to be one of Ye's favourites from the collection. When I watched the Yeezy Season 1 I pondered how much of what we saw in the show will make it to stores, as of course many shows add extra pieces purely to entertain the crowd or just never make it past the later edit when companies decide what to sell. But, it seems for sure we will have the opportunity to buy this here jumper. Seen on Vic Mensa during the SNL 40 performance of Wolves, it has a heavily distressed sleeve and body. It is interesting, Kanye chose a knitwear garment to distress like this. This is most definitely what he was talking about during the Zane Lowe interview when he compared his collection to a cement lamp statue he saw. He discussed the idea of using everyday materials to create something high end, how unusual it was to have a material such as cement to make a statue of that kind. Something, Kanye thought played a huge role in his first season.

Saint Laurent Boots - $1595

A new boot for Kanye comes in the shape of a yet to be released (at the time of writing) 'Saint Laurent Santiago 40 Harness Cropped Boot'. West has chosen to remove the strap to take a more minimalistic form, but also to look less like a cowboy. And, with that sweater, it'll look like he's been on the wrong end of a wild west shoot out. In all seriousness, I do think that the boots are quality, it looks to me like one of those where you have to see it in person to appreciate the value (whether that is $1600 worth of quality is remained to be seen). It is made from 100% Calf Leather and does have a zip on the side. There are some better photos, where you can see the boots better on Kanye they appear a bit like a really soft leather or a suede. Which doesn't appear to be too much like these, however you never be sure with the way paparazzi use flash and editing etc. compared to that used in the Saint Laurent shoot, especially with an unreleased shoe. Although, as soon as I saw these photos I immediately thought of Saint Laurent and was confirmed with that on the gram (insta).
